Laura H. MacElroy

A native of Gainesville, Georgia, Laura has practiced law for over 30 years.  She graduated from Agnes Scott College with degrees in French and psychology.  Following graduation, she worked in the international and legal departments of an Atlanta computer firm, studying German at the Goethe Institute in Atlanta and Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany.  She left her corporate position to attend the University of Georgia School of Law, clerking at Farrer & Co. in London, England and a medium sized law firm in Atlanta.

Prior to opening her own practice in 1995, Laura practiced at Glass, McCullough, Sherrill & Harrold.  She specializes in estate planning, wills, trusts, financial powers of attorney, advance directives for health care, probate, estate administration, and estate and gift tax law.
